Did you know that AIRAH is awarding $2,000 to affray the costs of educational expenses, travel and accommodation in order to progress a student's line of study?
Criteria: Awarded to engineering and TAFE students who are enrolled full-time in a post-secondary educational institution and pursuing a recognized qualification in a course of study that traditionally led to a role in the HVAC&R profession. What's on offer: A scholarships of $2,000 is offered on a yearly basis to affray the costs of educational expenses, travel, and accommodation in order to progress their line of study. AIRAH will also offer access to all AIRAH conferences and divisional events held in your scholarship year.
Selection process and application requirements: Scholarships are awarded based on the following and for the academic year following the application deadline.
Full-time enrolment in an accredited undergraduate engineering or engineering technology or a TAFE Certificate III program or higher, recognised by AIRAH.
A strong track record of grades and results. Official transcripts will be required.
Be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident.
Two letters of recommendation, including one from an instructor or faculty adviser, and one from a current or past employer or character reference.
An evaluation letter that includes: 1. Potential service to the HVAC&R profession 2. Financial need 3. Leadership ability (activities, roles, community service, etc.) 4. Work ethic (intern or part-time jobs, etc.)
With the support of AIRAH's publications, you will be required to write a short article of what you have gained from the experience for Ecolibrium, AIRAH's industry journal.
All applications must be received by September 1, 2020. Award recipients will be notified in November.
How to apply for the AIRAH Student Education Scholarship Program

What is your interest in the field covered by AIRAH? What is your special interest in HVAC&R equipment, installation, or design, etc. (i.e. installing, designing, testing, servicing, repairing, troubleshooting, teaching, etc.)?

2. HVAC&R Involvement
To what extent would the scholarship help you in HVAC&R activities to advance your professional goals?
Please answer in 100 words or less. 3. Financial Need
Why should we award this scholarship to you? Please justify your financial need.
Please answer in 100 words or less. Are you currently receiving any scholarships/grants, or have you been awarded any scholarships or grants for the upcoming academic year? If yes, please list source and amount.
Part C Two letters of recommendation, including one from an instructor or faculty adviser, and one from a current or past employer or character reference.

AIRAH Scholarship Application Tips
Become an AIRAH student member. Though not required for scholarship eligibility, an AIRAH membership will provide you with valuable resources, opportunities, and connections that will help you in your chosen career path.
Read the application carefully and answer all questions completely and honestly.
Make sure you meet all the criteria.
Make sure you submit the application and all required documents on or before the applicable deadline.
Use proper English (correct grammar and spelling) when completing the application.
Submit a brief introductory cover letter.
Be clear and thorough when stating goals and financial needs.
